Mourinho keen for Kaka to stay

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is hopeful that Kaka will stay at the club despite reports linking him with a move away from the La Liga Champions.

The Brazilian has not enjoyed the best spell of career at the Bernabeu and is reportedly a target for his former club AC Milan and big spenders PSG.

The playmaker was involved in things last campaign though as seemed to be enjoying life at Real, however he is set to want regular first-team football, something that is not guaranteed at the Spanish giants.

That said though, Mourinho insists that he is part of his plans for the upcoming season and wants him to continue his career under him.

He said: “For me there is no problem. We will try to get the best out of him. He is a good player. He played well last season and helped us win games.

“Our hope is that he stays. As a coach I would be happy because he is serious, hardworking and contributes to the group.”

Kaka will know that at 30-years-old this is a massive decision for him as he may only be playing at the top level for a few more years.

He was considered one of the best players in the world when at Milan as he was the influential figure in helping them win both the Champions League and Serie A titles.

It was under Carlo Ancelotti that he played so well and the Italian is the current manager of PSG so he may wish to make the move over to Ligue 1 as the French side look to be building a very talented squad.

So it seems as though the ball is in the Brazilian internationals court. He is sure to be in high demand should he leave Real although he will know he could be a key figure for them this season.
